Zombies in Space

Ryan- “Take me to the moon! Quick! Wait, wait! (scramble, growling, kicking, etc. as people attack car. Sound of door closing, car peels out) Whoa! That was close! Almost forgot my towel.”
Sam- “What was that all about?”
Ryan- “What? You haven’t heard? It’s the zombie apocalypse. It’s finally happening, and we have to get out of here.”
            Sam- “Why the moon?”
Ryan- “Why the moon? Do you know nothing about—watch out! Don’t hit them! —Do you know nothing about the zombie apocalypse? They’ve invaded everywhere; Andromeda is no longer safe. Most of the Milky Way isn’t safe. Even Earth. The only place the zombies won’t go is the moon. They’re afraid. They’re afraid of the man in the moon.”
Sam- “Where did they come from?”
Ryan- “Man, without me, you’d be their next victim for sure. You don’t know anything. See how they’re just floating around everywhere? (shutters) Creeps me out. Anyway, there are several different theories about how and why the zombie apocalypse is happening. Some people believe that a deadly virus has been released, either naturally or catalyzed, that has infected humans, turning them into universe dwelling corpses. We’ve all seen this example in the movies. Another common theory is that there is no longer vacancy in Hell. Enough people are now dead that there’s no room, and instead, the dead are destined to roam the universe forever. I’m not so sure this is correct. Others say that it is some form of black magic, that a wizard or something of similar sort has unleashed a deadly germ that turns people into terrifying, half dead individuals. Most newspapers are claiming something along the lines of the first theory, that the famous General Zod was chilling in Space Jail and realized the only way to exact his wrath on the universe was to create a deadly virus, one that would turn all people into the living dead. First he turned the other Space Jail prisoners into zombies, then the guards, and was barely able to escape death himself, trying his best to avoid them. He then used his genius mind to control these few zombies, causing them to reproduce more and more of their kind.”
Sam- “How do you know about all of this?”
Ryan- “Mostly the newspapers. They started printing when the outbreak occurred, but now very few normal people are left in Andromeda, and it’s only been four days since the first victim. Yesterday, though, I had a first hand encounter, and that’s when I decided I needed to pack up and get the hell out of here. Scariest thing that’s ever happened to me. I had been reading the papers, but kind of figured it might be a hoax. I hadn’t seen anyone in my neighborhood who was affected yet, so I decided to call up a couple of friends and go bowling, ignoring the warnings to stay inside with the lights off, making it seem like no one was home. We all met at the bowling alley and were about to start playing. Starting like any of our weekly games, we ordered a round of drinks and were just about to begin. Then, out of nowhere, we heard an odd growling noise. We didn’t think much of it; just figured it was someone pretending to be a monster. But then we realized something wasn’t quite right with the people around us. The blanks stares, the open mouths, the slow staggering, and that god awful hissing noise. We quickly discovered the newspapers weren’t lying: the zombies were everywhere! So we did what we had to do: we downed our beers and got the hell out of there as quickly as possible. We all split from each other, none of us returned home. We didn’t want to risk losing our own lives and become part of the army of the living dead. Simply being bitten by a zombie turns you into one. And the only way to destroy them is to…”
Sam- “Wait, what? Being bitten? Uh oh. We have a problem. A bite? Like this?” (shows wrist. Eyes red. Evil. Starts zombie talk/hissing)
Ryan- “Oh shit! (bite noise) I’ve been hit! I don’t want to be a zombie! Noooooooo!”
(Silence as they approach the moon)
            Ryan- “What’s that?”
Sam- “Looks like a man. A giant man. Why are we getting so close to him?”
            Ryan- “What the hell?”
Both- “Ahhhhhhhhhhh!”
(crashing noise as both men arrive safely, long pause followed by hissing/zombie noises.)
